Proud Heritage 

There are ruins of ancient buildings that indicate our ancient people’s technology and talents in many cities. UNESCO has named eight sites in Sri Lanka as World Heritage. This includes six cultural sites and two natural sites. Cultural sites are, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Galle, Golden Temple of Dambulla and Kandy. Sri Lanka is s country with a proud heritage. The Cultural Triangle includes the ruins of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, and Dambulla and the sensual murals of heavenly maidens at the palace at the Sigiriya rock, an excellent place for tourists to see all of Sri Lanka’s World Heritage Sites.

Kandy, the historic capital of Sri Lanka, is located in the hill country and home to the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha, the Dalada Maligawa,It is also known for its distinctive architecture, art, and music.

The best-preserved Dutch fort in Asia, is in the southern part of Sri Lanka and dates back to the mid-17th century. Even today, the fort is bustling with activity, with 14 enormous bastions and a grid system of streets. It’s one of Sri Lanka’s most unusual attractions.
