This is now my 2nd year and 3rd holiday planned and executed by the Spartan Escapes. In its entirety the team did significantly more than what I expected, to meet all the requirements of my family. Additionally, there was not even one instance that either of them was not available to sort issues before and during my holiday. I loved this adventurous trip; we were a small group of 9 and all got along famously. Our tour agency, Spartan Escapes, and their team were a definite asset to this trip, with nothing being too much trouble or regret. The answers to questions about culture, flora, and fauna from the Spartan Escapes team were knowledgeable and well researched, and many of his stories made each of the various endeavours entertaining. The hiking and biking were excellent, not strenuous yet a little challenging at times, with good equipment provided and the necessary safety precautions adhered to. Sri Lanka is very safe; great care was taken with the new COVID rules and we felt secure. Food was always delicious, and there was plenty of variety in all restaurants that catered to special needs; fresh fish and Sri Lankan mud crab were definite must-tries for future visitors! The accommodation was in lovely little boutique-style hotels and resort hotels for all the visitors. The food was always plentiful and delicious, with helpful service, and we were made to feel welcome by all. This land-based trip for me was the real way to see Sri Lanka. It was full of activity and organized days with little time to wonder what to do next. It is definitely suitable for single travellers. I would not hesitate to travel with active adventures again.

Excellent. Our best tour operator yet! The itinerary was carefully thought through and well balanced. The trip represented a great way to travel through the central highlands. Our booking was easy, and the pre-information packet was timely and thorough. Interim questions were handled promptly and thoroughly, including going out of their way to help us with some hard-to-get reservations. The transfers were perfect and done in a high-class vehicle. Everything worked like clockwork. However, it was the genius of the itinerary that put this trip into the A+ category.
